ACKme Branded Wireless Modules Surpass the European Wireless Emissions Standards

ACKme hardware attains the requirements stipulated by EN 300 328 V1.9.1

LOS GATOS, Calif.--()--The EN 300 328 standard regulates wireless transmitters in the 2.4 GHz band and affects multiple wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth® and ZigBee® and since January 1st, 2015 the European Telecommunications Standards Institute’s (ETSI) required all wireless devices shipped into the European market must meet EN 300 328 V1.8.1.

Products must now meet the standards of V1.8.1 or greater and products that do not are no longer permitted to be sold in the EU marketplace. Product manufacturers may be subject to fines for noncompliance and it is expected V1.9.1 will supersede V1.8.1 becoming the new mandatory standard after November 2016.

Sensors.com today announced that its ACKme Networks brand of wireless modules now not only meets the requirements set forth by V1.8.1, but exceeds those requirements having already been certified against the EN 300 328 V1.9.1 standard ensuring long term supply capabilities for the European market.

The latest version seeks to improve the usage and quality of data transmission within the 2.4GHz band. It introduced significant changes that affect the Adaptivity, TX unwanted Out of Band (OOB) emissions and Spurious Emissions.
