TCF Bank Partners with Simon Says Give for School Supply Drive in July

Goal to prepare 10,000 Minnesota students with needed backpacks and supplies.

WAYZATA, Minn.--()--TCF National Bank (TCF Bank), a subsidiary of TCF Financial Corporation (TCF) (NYSE: TCB) today announced a school supply drive to prepare students in Minnesota for the first day of school. TCF Bank branches in Minnesota are collection points in July for Simon Says Give® and their High 5 for Supplies drive.

“Ensuring that all children are prepared and ready to go back to school is one way that each of us can help set students up for success,” said Mark Jeter, TCF’s managing director of retail banking. “Partnerships between TCF Bank and organizations like Simon Says Give help kids succeed in the classroom and in the years ahead.”

“Students who have the necessary back-to-school backpack and supplies are better equipped to learn and less likely to be bullied,” said Dina Simon, Simon Says Give president. “We are thankful to TCF for collecting donations at its branch banking locations in Minnesota. Last year, with help from TCF and the public, we provided backpacks and supplies to 10,000 students and we hope to do the same this year.”
