TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WordCamp Tampa, a 3-day technology conference held once a year, is partnering with Happy Joe, a non-profit organization that supports veterans by providing essential skills to start successful business ventures or careers using the WordPress platform. Happy Joe will be providing the curriculum for WordCamp’s Friday workshop, which is limited to 100 people.
James Dalman, founder of Happy Joe and instructor said, "We believe in delivering incredible value through our WP BootCamps. These events will always provide key takeaways and advice for any attendee, as well as offer them incredible tools and resources for success. While our main focus is on training and equipping military veterans, military spouses, and military caregivers, we welcome any person interested in our event to attend."
The tickets for the all-day workshop and entire 3-day camp are free for the first 30 veterans who sign up. Tickets are graciously sponsored by WP Engine, a web hosting platform specifically for WordPress sites.
This new veteran’s workshop provides exciting opportunities for patriotic sponsors to become engaged with our vibrant Tampa Bay veteran’s community.
Alison Foxall, lead organizer of WordCamp Tampa notes, "We plan on having a base ticket priced at $35 per person. This includes lunch for both Saturday and Sunday, a 2015 WordCamp Tampa t-shirt, admission to the after-party (TBD local hotspot), and coffee, lots of coffee! However, the best value is all the great people you meet and network with, as well as all the great information you absorb through the sessions. WordCamp also has what’s called a “Happiness Bar” where you can walk in and talk to an expert about a WordPress problem you might have, similar to Apple’s Genius Bar concept."
Tickets will go on sale mid-July and will be limited to 350 for the 2-Day WordCamp (Saturday and Sunday). The Friday workshop is limited to 100 seats. For more information and sponsorship opportunities, please see http://tampa.wordcamp.org/.
