FMI’s Thesmar to Lead Webinar on FSMA Importer Programs

SALT LAKE CITY--()--ReposiTrak®, the leading provider of Compliance Management and Track & Trace solutions for food safety exclusively endorsed by Food Marketing Institute (FMI) and Retailer Owned Food Distributors and Associates (ROFDA), announces that Dr. Hilary Thesmar, Vice President, Food Safety Programs for FMI, will lead a webinar July 7, 2015 at 1pm EST to share key highlights of the three programs that directly relate to the importation of food. These highlights include the Foreign Supplier Verification Program, the Voluntary Qualified Importer Program and the Accreditation of Third Party Auditors.

Given the increased requirements for foreign suppliers and their significant presence in the U.S. food supply chain, the webinar is expected to draw a wide audience including retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers. Please register here.

“With the upcoming finalization of FSMA, we are working to share the latest FSMA updates on topics like imports, as they affect both retailers and suppliers in achieving compliance of their respective supply chains,” said Randy Fields, CEO of Park City Group. “Our webinars continue to receive rave reviews from our participants, and we are committed to help prepare the industry for FSMA compliance.”

Powered by Park City Group’s (NASDAQ:PCYG) technology, the ReposiTrak platform helps manage regulatory, financial and brand risk associated with issues of safety in the global food, pharma and dietary supply chains. The platform consists of two systems: Compliance Management, which not only receives, stores and shares documentation, but also manages compliance through dashboards and alerts for missing or expired documents; and Track & Trace, which quickly identifies product ingredients and their supply chain path in the unfortunate event of a product recall. It can reduce the risk in the supply chain by identifying backward chaining sources and forward chaining recipients of products in near real time.
