VANCOUVER, British Columbia, & EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tasktop, the leader in Software Lifecycle Integration (SLI) and creator of the Eclipse Mylyn open source tool, and iRise, the creator of the leading requirements definition and visualization platform, today announced an OEM partnership that brings together two market-leading tools that enable product owners, requirements professionals and development teams to collaborate more effectively on user stories, requirements, designs and tests.
Under the agreement, Tasktop will add iRise to the Tasktop Sync ecosystem, and iRise will resell and provide primary support and deployment services for the OEM version of the integration product. This new capability will provide seamless bi-directional integration between iRise’s Enterprise Visualization Platform and leading agile planning and management tools, as well as the leading requirements management suites, including Atlassian, HP, IBM, Jama, Rally, and VersionOne.
Tasktop’s Sync integration network includes a range of software development and delivery lifecycle tools that go beyond traditional areas of application lifecycle management (ALM), to include portfolio planning (PPM) and service management tools (ITSM), among others.
iRise’s collaborative visualization platform enables product owners and business stakeholders to use interactive diagrams and prototypes to elicit, communicate and validate requirements and user stories. Their platform supports a wide range of visualizations—from mobile, web and desktop apps to kiosk and appliance user interfaces—and scales from small teams to globally distributed enterprises.
The critical element in delivering software is collaboration on the scope, requirements and design of applications—regardless of whether these are embodied in user stories or traditional requirements. Centering this collaboration on an interactive prototype drives early consensus and stakeholder engagement. But that is only part of the picture. Integrating interactive visualizations and requirements in iRise with the rest of the ALM ecosystem brings this consensus and engagement to everyone involved—from developers to quality assurance to deployment teams.
“Tasktop is enthusiastic about the partnership with iRise; not only does it add a new tools category of requirements visualization to our ecosystem of software delivery tools, but there is also great synergy between our customer bases,” said Dave West, chief product officer for Tasktop.
“As with most IT organizations, our customers have made significant investments in modern development practices and DevOps. Integrating requirements definition and visualization to this ecosystem through Tasktop’s SLI platform will allow our customers to maximize return on their investments in agile, continuous integration and cloud,” said Stephen Brickley, EVP, Customer Success for iRise.
