Arcos Dorados Gives Its Mcdonald’s Customers in Brazil the Chance to Become a Millionaire

More Than Half a Million Brazilians Take Part in MONOPOLY® Promotion

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina--()--One lucky McDonald’s customer in Brazil is set to become a millionaire as Arcos Dorados prepares for the millionaire MONOPOLY® draw.

The McDonald’s MONOPOLY® promotion has attracted more than half a million participants in Brazil, after meal purchases at McDonald’s earned them MONOPOLY® cards, instant wins, and the chance to register for the millionaire grand prize. The grand prize winner will take home one million Reais in gold bar certificates when the prize is drawn on July 3, 2015 in a televised event.

Throughout the seven-week promotion, McDonald’s customers who bought meals received cards with six scratch-off prize sections and three ways to participate: Instant wins, prizes and the millionaire draw. This year’s prizes included mini Panasonic stereo systems, Yamaha Crosser XTZ 150cc motorbikes, a flight to Orlando, Florida, as well as instant wins for favorite McDonald’s menu items.

“The millionaire MONOPOLY® draw is without a doubt one of our most exciting promotions. It’s not every day one of our customers has the chance to become a millionaire,” said Raúl Mandía, Vice-President of Marketing at Arcos Dorados.

This is the third annual MONOPOLY® promotion that Arcos Dorados, the world’s largest McDonald’s franchisee, has run in Brazil, and follows successful campaigns in the prior two years. This year’s promotion commenced on April 28, 2015 and ran through June 16, 2015.

Companies partnering in the promotion include Coca-Cola, Decolar.com, Hasbro, McCain, Nissan, Oreo, Panasonic, Sadia, Superinteressante, Terra Música Napster, Visa and Yamaha.
