ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jupiter Systems, the leading worldwide supplier of collaborative visualization solutions for PCs, mobile devices, conference rooms, and video walls, today debuted a completely redesigned InfoComm booth #1543. The new booth design is intended to better reflect the company’s expanded commitment to delivering whole solutions to the enterprise.
Traditionally, the flow of information within organizations has been one way. Information was gathered from remote cameras, sensors, and applications and was routed to the display wall in the control room where a team could monitor and collaborate in real time.
The ability to bring all of the data sources into one display wall or operator’s console where it can be seen, analyzed, and acted upon was pioneered by Jupiter with its award winning display wall processors.
This model of visualization continues to work well for organizations whose managers are able to convene daily in front of a control room display wall. However, the demand to expand participation and collaboration among distant managers, experts, consultants and operators beyond the control room has changed that.
“Today the single most important trend we are seeing is the requirement to provide easy and ubiquitous access to all of the information that was once bound to the video wall in the control room, to make it available in a fully collaborative environment for remote colleagues on a variety of devices,” said Brady O. Bruce, Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Alliances at Jupiter. “Teams want to share live video and data, no matter where they are and no matter what devices they have with them—laptops, tablets, smartphones, and on video walls in huddle rooms, large conference rooms, and control rooms. Today, the video wall has to be everywhere. And managers want to have the same level of collaboration they would have if meeting together in the same room. They need to be able to get meaningful work done with colleagues no matter where they are. Jupiter Systems is a global company, with tens of thousands of installations in more than 50 countries. We see this trend accelerating everywhere, and we intend to lead it.”
Visitors to the Jupiter booth at InfoComm 2015 will see something new—instead of a more traditional booth whose heart is the display wall and the control room, the new booth will focus on communication and collaboration throughout the enterprise in a variety of venues.
Jupiter’s new 40 foot x 50 foot booth design is visually striking, open and free-flowing. It is comprised of separate sections that emphasize the range of enterprise requirements and Jupiter’s collaborative visualization solutions. The booth includes the Canvas solution at work in two huddle rooms which employ the award-winning Canvas CRS-4K, a typical manager’s office with Canvas on a PC, a typical airport departure gate where the traveling manager can work using Canvas on a smartphone, tablet, or laptop, and a standard control room using a 3 x 2 video wall featuring Canvas on Jupiter’s Fusion Catalyst 4500 display wall processor. Together, these show the value and flexibility of Jupiter’s products, and demonstrate how easy it is to connect and collaborate throughout the enterprise—anywhere, anytime, on any device.
Jupiter Systems has pioneered the display wall technologies for control rooms which is now used around the world for more than 30 years and in thousands of organizations. The company led the industry with the first multiscreen display wall processor, the first display wall processor to run Windows and allow users to operate applications directly on the video wall (Fusion), and the first networked display wall system (PixelNet). Now Jupiter System’s Canvas has expanded the concept of the control room to include users in far-flung locations working on a broad array of devices. Canvas allows users to access video and data anywhere and on any device, and to collaborate with colleagues around the world.
