BLOOMINGTON, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On June 20, CFC Properties welcomes the public to attend a sidewalk sale and open house at Fountain Square from 10-5 p.m. Located on the south side of the Bloomington downtown square, the historic Fountain Square boasts a shopping experience as unique as Bloomington, with more than 20 independently owned shops and service businesses. Fountain Square also hosts numerous professional offices, indoor dining, a fountain and two atriums, and a historic ballroom that accommodates up to 150 guests.
Held alongside the 35th annual Bloomington Playwrights Project’s Arts Fair on the Square, the open house will allow guests to explore Fountain Square’s diverse boutique businesses, and enjoy live music and activities for kids, including face painting and balloon twisting.
“Fountain Square has become a vibrant center for local businesses that benefit from the amenities offered. Their customers can enjoy a leisurely shopping experience among high quality retail and service establishments,” said Ron Walker, vice president for Commercial Real Estate. “This will be a great opportunity for our tenants to show off their great products and services, and for the public to rediscover the charm Fountain Square offers,” said Walker.
The sidewalk sale will occur on Kirkwood Avenue, adjacent to the Arts Fair on the Square, as well as in the interior hallways. Several businesses will offer special deals during the sidewalk sale and open house. Sidewalk sale flyers will be available at the main entrance on Kirkwood Avenue and through the Fountain Square Facebook page.
“Fountain Square’s restoration led downtown Bloomington’s renaissance in 1988,” said Jim Murphy, president of CFC Properties. “We’re proud that it is now the home of many great, local and independent shops. We remain committed to all of our tenants, those who have been here for many years and those who have joined us in recent years. The downtown continues to benefit from their commitment to offer a unique shopping experience,” stated Murphy.
