SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Morf Media, Inc., shaping the future of compliance training for the mobile workforce with Morf Learning™, today announced that Angela Bazigos is joining its executive team as chief compliance officer (CCO) and head of the life sciences business unit. Bazigos will help drive the company’s leadership initiatives in providing strategic compliance training software solutions to life sciences organizations around the world. She will report to Morf Media CEO Eduardo Cervantes.
Bazigos has more than 35 years of experience within the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and medical device industries in the areas of software and process development and quality assurance. Most recently Bazigos was CCO for Nexcyon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Prior to that she was CCO for Prime Genomics, and held executive management roles at Incyte Genomics, Roche, Counsyl and acted on behalf of the CEO for Regulatory Affairs at PMI.
Bazigos has guided companies in achieving industry mandates for monitoring compliance standards including Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and 21 CFR 11 (CFR = Code of Federal Regulations), the international ethical and scientific quality standard for designing, conducting, recording, and reporting trials that involve the participation of human subjects.
She delivers training on GLP, GCP, GMP, Medical Device regulatory standards and 21 CFR 11. She holds a patent solution aimed at accelerating software compliance. Bazigos is a former president of the Pacific Regional Chapter of the Society of Quality Assurance (PRCSQA), a member of the Society for Quality Assurance (SQA CVIC), American Society for Quality Training, Certification & Networks (ASQ), the Drug Information Association (DIA) and Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS).
She works closely with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on behalf of her clients, and consults to life science investor groups as well as to Pharma / Biotech / Medical Device companies on compliance matters, including strategy, submissions, quality assurance and remediations following action by the FDA.
More recently, Bazigos co-authored Computerized Systems in Clinical Research/Current Data Quality and Data Integrity Concepts with FDA, DIA and Academia. She was on the board for UC Berkeley’s Business School for Executive Education in Life Sciences and is now on the Stanford Who’s Who Registry for contributions to the Life Sciences industry.
