AUSTIN, Texas--()--In response to strong investor demand for an expanded Vista platform, Vista Equity Partners today announced a new management structure for its affiliated Credit and Public Equities funds. Jamie Ford, previously COO at Vista Equity Partners, has been named President of Credit and Public Equity, reporting directly to Vista Founder, Chairman & CEO Robert F. Smith. Reporting to Ford will be Vista Credit Opportunities (“VCO”) Co-Heads Kristine Jurczyk and Joshua Niedner, and Vista Investment Partners (“VIP”) Co-Heads Brenden Smith and Ashish Shah.

Mr. Smith said: “The exceptional skills and talents of this team, led by Jamie Ford, will allow us to scale our expertise and platform to respond to growing investor demand for software. We are delighted by our latest addition to this group, Joshua Niedner, who will be working alongside Co-Head Kristine Jurczyk to position and grow Vista Credit Opportunities to be the leading debt investor in software.”

Establishing this new team marks an important step in Vista’s continuing emergence as a global leader in software debt securities and public equities. VCO and VIP focus exclusively on investing in the debt and public equities of technology-enabled businesses. VCO launched in mid-2013, closed its first fund in January 2015, and leverages Vista’s $14 billion investment platform for deal origination and software expertise. Since September 2014, VIP has been investing in tech, media & telecom public equities through a long-term focused fundamental research-driven process.

Mr. Niedner, who will be based in Chicago, joins VCO from Madison Capital, where he served in a range of capacities over 14 years including being a member of Madison’s Investment Committee and Strategy Committee. Most recently he served as Head of Madison’s Investment Management Group, where he led the build out of the group from its inception to $2 billion in assets over the last six years. Ms. Jurczyk, also based in Chicago, joined Vista Equity Partners in 2013 from GE Antares, where she served as a Senior Vice President and oversaw a team of risk professionals. Ms. Jurczyk also worked at Merrill Lynch Capital prior to its acquisition by GE Capital.
