BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--JA Worldwide today announced that it has chosen Asheesh Advani as its next CEO. Advani has extensive experience as a successful entrepreneur in the technology and financial services sectors. In addition, he brings years of non-profit leadership to the organization, which provides workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy programs to youth around the world through innovative, experiential programs.
“We’re thrilled to introduce Asheesh Advani as the next leader of JA Worldwide,” said Francesco Vanni d’Archirafi, JA Worldwide Chairman of the Board. “Asheesh is a proud JA alumnus and an innovative leader. We’re confident that his global experience, background and passion will help to further our organization, programs and mission.”
Advani’s career includes his recent role as CEO of Covestor, an online investment management marketplace, which was acquired by Interactive Brokers. Previously, he was vice president and general manager at Thomson Reuters, a consultant with the World Bank Group, and founder and CEO of CircleLending, which was acquired by the Virgin Group. He has also served on many non-profit boards, including Young Presidents Organization and the Corporation for Enterprise Development.
JA Worldwide conducted an exhaustive search, both internally and outside the organization, along with the help of executive search firm Korn Ferry. Effective in July, Advani will succeed Sean Rush, who has served as CEO of JA Worldwide since 2008. “We look forward to Asheesh applying his global business expertise and entrepreneurial leadership abilities to lead JA Worldwide into a new chapter as we continue to bring the most relevant educational programs to the youth we serve,” said Vanni d’Archirafi.
