RYE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The eHealthcare Leadership Awards program, which drew more than 1,000 entries last year, recognizes the best websites and digital communications of healthcare organizations, online companies, pharmaceutical/medical equipment firms, corporate suppliers, and business improvement initiatives. The program is presented by Health Care Communications, a provider of marketing, communications, and business development information since 1984.
“Digital innovation has accelerated to deal with an increasingly competitive landscape and to meet the demands of today’s discriminating consumer,” says Mark Gothberg, Awards chairman. “Organizations realize that their websites, social media channels, and mobile applications are vital for engaging current and prospective customers and improving quality and operational efficiency.”
The 2015 program features two new award categories – Best Patient Safety Communications and Best Annual or Special Report. The other 13 categories are Best Site Design, Best Healthcare Content, Best Interactive, Best Mobile Communications, Best Social Networking, Best Rich Media, Best Patient Access and Convenience, Best Care/Disease Management, Best Doctor Directory, Best Overall Internet Site, Best Intranet, Best Marketing Campaign, and eHealth Organizational Commitment.
Organizations enter under one of 17 classifications so that they compete only against others of comparable type, size, and resources. Platinum, gold, silver, and distinction awards may be given in every classification for each award category. An independent panel of individuals familiar with healthcare and the Internet evaluates entries.
Winners will be honored during the 19th Annual Healthcare Internet Conference, November 9 – 11, in Orlando, FL.
Major supporters of the Awards are Coffey Communications, a Walla Walla, WA-based company whose expertise includes healthcare content and website design and development; Atlanta-based Connect Healthcare, a PhotoBooks company that provides physician directories and custom websites; Customized Communications, Inc., an Arlington, TX-based medical publishing company that specializes in prenatal and perinatal care; Farmington, CT-based Evariant, a leader in leveraging big data analytics; Denver-headquartered Healthgrades, a leading online resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals; Influence Health, a Birmingham, AL-based supplier of an integrated digital consumer engagement and activation platform; and Private Health News, a Cincinnati-based supplier of e-health newsletters and CRM programs.
