MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AOL Canada and Le Huffington Post Québec, the first regional edition of The Huffington Post Canada, announced today the launch of its new section Le Huffington Post Québec Style (HuffPost Québec Style), a site showcasing the biggest fashion personalities and the latest in fashion, beauty and celebrity & design.
“We are excited to be launching a new section within the highly engaging site Le Huffington Post Québec. With lifestyle content at the core of our content strategy, the addition of an influential section dedicated to fashion and beauty was a natural step,” said Rashida Jeeva, GM of The Huffington Post Canada.
As part of today’s launch of HuffPost Québec Style, the site is featuring an exclusive interview with plus-size model Joby Bach. Now working in the U.S., Bach is fighting "fashion standards" in the North American market. The exclusive gives readers a behind-the-scenes look at the model during a recent fashion shoot.
The new site will leverage The Huffington Post’s highly social content platform along with the engaging and powerful blogging network that the site was based upon.
“In today’s hyper-connected world it is important for content to be available across devices. With this in mind we will be launching the new HuffPost Québec section simultaneously with the new mobile web redesign of all of HuffPost Canada,” said Jeeva.
The new site will see a significant amount of video content alongside its coverage of red carpet events, galas, news, trends and all things fashion and beauty. AOL Canada is committed to driving new experiences online, including the creation of original video, and recently announced the launch of a video production studio in its Canadian offices.
HuffPost Québec Style joins Art-de-Vivre as a lifestyle offering on the Montreal-based French language site from The Huffington Post. Alongside the French inventory from AOL Canada, the site will roll into the impressive suite of properties within AOL Canada’s lifestyle portfolio. The AOL Lifestyle offering ranks 2nd based on unique visitors and viewers in the ad-focus Lifestyles category in Canada while Le Huffington Post Québec reaches over 1.6 million unique visitors and viewers*.
