SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Voxer, a leader in real-time voice and messaging, today announced the availability of Voxer for Apple Watch, enabling seamless communication for Voxer users by providing fast access to text, photo and voice messages.
Driven by the vision of enabling and improving modern communication through more personalized messaging, Voxer designed the new application with an intuitive, user-friendly interface. The moment a message comes in, users simply tap the short look notification image to instantly view the message, and can respond by utilizing Siri to transcribe voice-to-text. They may also choose from among a series of short pre-loaded messages for rapid response. The app gives users access to both individual and group chats. By utilizing Apple’s “Handoff” feature, Voxer users can easily move the conversations being held on their watch to their iPhone and pick up where they left off.
The Voxer application is designed to deliver the highest quality and performance in the toughest conditions. Voxer real-time voice with text, photo and location sharing can be deployed on smartphones and tablets running iOS or Android and on laptops running OSX or Windows. It also runs over any network, including cellular and Wi-Fi. Voxer is used by thousands of businesses and over 60 million users worldwide.
“Bringing Voxer functionality to the Apple Watch and providing users with fast access to their messages is just the first step in making seamless two-way communication via wearables a reality,” said Irv Remedios, president of Voxer. “We look forward to providing Voxer users with full voice messaging capabilities, bringing walkie-talkie-like functionality to Apple Watch wearers’ wrists as soon as APIs are available.”
