SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Arynga, Inc. an innovator and leader in the delivery of intelligent vehicle software management solutions, and Wind River, a world leader in delivering software for intelligent connected systems, are working together to pre-integrate Arynga’s CarSync OTA functionality with Wind River automotive software, providing additional out-of-the box SOTA/FOTA functionality to its portfolio.
As the connected vehicle becomes a central component of the Internet of Things (IoT), CarSync provides the automotive industry with a robust OTA solution for managing and maintaining the integrity of embedded systems and collecting data across the entire lifecycle of the vehicle, including pre and post production. Arynga’s CarSync will extend Wind River’s platform solutions and software integration project capabilities with pre integrated software lifecycle management functionality.
“With OTA software management, OEMs can stay connected with the software in the car throughout its lifecycle and use OTA to update software or fix issues instead of requiring physical intervention. However, additional software complexity brings about new challenges," said Marques McCammon, Senior Director, Automotive Solutions at Wind River. “By working with industry leaders like Arynga, we’re continuing to grow our OTA-enabled software solutions to help the industry better manage automotive systems over the lifetime of the vehicle and ultimately save costs and increase customer satisfaction.”
“Having a strategic collaborator such as Wind River, with their experience, global presence, and dedication to delivering quality software solutions, is a significant step forward for Arynga in our advancement in the industry and overall strengthening of our engineering organization. Arynga and Wind River together will provide a powerful joint solution, enabling the maintenance and enhancement of the integrity of embedded systems throughout the life-cycle of connected vehicles,” said Walter Buga, CEO and Founder of Arynga.
Wind River and Arynga will demonstrate the benefits of their solution by showcasing a FOTA update to an Android-based IVI system at the GENIVI-hosted OPEN Automotive conference in Stuttgart, Germany on April 22, and at SAE World Congress in Detroit, MI on April 21-23.
