Congressman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) to be Honored at CEA’s Digital Patriots Dinner April 14

Eleventh annual awards dinner celebrates champions of consumer technology innovation

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® today announced that U.S. Congressman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) will be honored for his support of technology innovation at CEA’s eleventh annual Digital Patriots Dinner. Goodlatte will be honored alongside Revolution Chairman and CEO Steve Case. The Digital Patriots Dinner is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14 at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. Event registration is now open.


U.S. Congressman Bob Goodlatte has long been a leader in Congress on a number of intellectual property and technology issues. In addition to representing the Sixth Congressional District of Virginia, he also serves as Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, which has jurisdiction over core technology policy issues including patents, copyright, trademark law, antitrust matters, and the Internet. All proceeds from the Digital Patriots Dinner will be donated to the CEA Foundation, a public, national foundation affiliated with CEA that links seniors and people with disabilities with technologies to enhance their lives, and Girls Who Code, a national movement that aims to inspire, educate and equip girls with the computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities.


In conjunction with the Digital Patriots Dinner, CES on the Hill returns to the nation’s capital on Wednesday, April 15. This invitation-only event produced by CEA provides policymakers the opportunity to interact with the innovators and products revolutionizing the way we live, work and play and features the latest innovations coming to market such as 4K Ultra HD, robotics, health and fitness tracking, virtual reality, safe driving technology and more. Members of Congress, key Hill staff and top media will experience the innovative technologies at the center of today’s policy debates.
