SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Crunchyroll, the leading global digital platform for Anime content, announces today that it has named Dallas Middaugh as Head of Brand and Community. In his new role, Dallas will oversee brand management and community, and build on the success of the current team to expand the reach of Crunchyroll globally.
Dallas Middaugh was previously Senior Director of Penguin Random House Publisher Services, where he oversaw the branding, publishing, manufacturing and marketing of hundreds of books each year. Penguin Random House distributes hit Manga properties such as ATTACK ON TITAN from Kodansha Comics.
“Dallas has an in-depth knowledge of Anime and Manga, and the passionate audience of both. He co-founded Seven Seas and also created Random House’s Del Rey Manga imprint, where he established brands that truly spoke to Manga fans,” said Crunchyroll CEO Kun Gao. “With his experience and understanding of our audience and the Manga category, Dallas will be able to contribute invaluably to expanding the Crunchyroll brand and further deepening the relationship to our audience.”
“Crunchyroll currently brings Anime and Manga to millions of passionate fans,” said Dallas Middaugh. “We have opportunities to reach an even larger audience and bring that audience not just more content, but more fun and exciting ways to interact with it. I’m looking forward to engaging with the community that I’ve been fortunate to be a part of for many years, and providing more ways for them to connect with and experience the best that Anime and Manga -- and Crunchyroll -- have to offer.”
