JACKSON, Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Bower Foundation is in support of Ole Miss Chancellor Dan Jones. The Bower Foundation CEO, Anne Travis, said their organization has invested over $9 million during Jones’ tenure. The money has backed up the mission of the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) to provide medical care to all Mississippians and a health and wellness program at Ole Miss.
“The Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) decision to not renew Chancellor Jones’ contract is a step backwards for Ole Miss and UMMC,” said Travis. “The Bower Foundation encourages the IHL to reconsider this decision and to maintain the existing outstanding management teams on both campuses.”
The Bower Foundation works on the development of strategies to improve Mississippians’ health. Children are of high interest in their strengthening of healthy lifestyles throughout the state. To learn more about The Bower Foundation, please visit BowerFoundation.org.
