IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--XFit Brands, Inc., a company focused on Exponential Fitness Products and Programming and the owner of Throwdown®, a leading designing, engineering, manufacturing and marketer of impact sports and fitness-related sporting goods, today announced the debut of its latest Throwdown functional fitness equipment innovation at the International Health Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) Convention with an impressive combination of Equipment, Programing and Technology.
The booth featured a portfolio of functional fitness equipment and a collection of Throwdown’s latest fitness accessories. The Throwdown UTC-K2, which is the industry’s first two-story functional fitness system, includes 20 workout stations, 26 steps, 76% grade and at its peak, a 360 degree view. After making the climb to the top, many attendees were given the “I climbed the UTC-K2” event tee shirt.
Also featured was the Throwdown Elite bag rack with its signature bucket system and latest hydraulically rolled monkey bar system. Finally, the company debuted its small foot print, commercial-grade Personal Fitness Center (PFC). The PFC has 11 stations and is perfect for both personal and small group fitness.
“Our extensive equipment programming, which supports our functional fitness equipment, really resonated with both current and prospective customers,” said Dave Vautrin, Chief Executive Officer of XFit Brands. “Beyond active programming and workouts throughout the show, Throwdown also hosted a morning workout on the UTC-K2 for 22 industry leaders. We bundled our innovative equipment with impactful group training and technology. Each participant was provided a MYZONE heart rate monitor, which displayed their performance on the two flat screen TVs. The monitoring created a sense of community and accountability to this group of competitive leaders.”
“We use the Throwdown UTC-K2 in our UFC Gyms. At IHRSA, six of our fitness leaders from around the globe and I did the early morning, 20 station, Throwdown workout. We loved every heart pounding, sweat dripping minute of it. Every muscle in our bodies were challenged and the team aspect of the workout really built a great sense of camaraderie,” said Derek Gallup, SVP of Fitness and Retail of New Evolution Ventures.
“We were excited to be part of the Friday morning workout at the Throwdown booth,” said Mike Leveque, Chief Operating Officer of MYZONE. “We believe Throwdown’s leading position in functional fitness equipment, which includes extensive programming coupled with the MYZONE member engagement system, provides owners and operators exactly what they need to stay ahead of functional and small group training trends.”
The IHRSA event attracted over 7,000 attendees from over 80 countries.
“We were pleased with our success at the event on many levels,” added Mr. Vautrin. “Our solution-driven approach of building best-in-breed, functional fitness equipment and accessories, coupled with programming and technology, will continue to differentiate the company and fuel our growth as a value-added partner within the Health Club Industry.”
