WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PeopleFluent®, a leading human capital management technology company, today announced discussion highlights from the company’s global user conference WISDOM 2015 breakout session “Data-Driven Talent Decisions: Where We are Now – Where We Want to Be,” featuring Senior Vice President and Head of Research David Mallon at Deloitte. Mallon discussed the current state of talent analytics, how to evaluate and measure the potential for talent analytics in an organization, and provided attendees detailed steps on different ways to improve their analytics capabilities.
Mallon shared that too few organizations are actively implementing people analytics to address complex business needs. The point was made that those that do are outperforming others in areas of talent management. The session also touched on the five keys to driving world class talent analytics: quality data, dashboards, team (with the right skills), culture of data, and IT support. Mallon added that the most important skill in implementing talent analytics was having people with a “consulting / problem solving mind-set” while the hardest skill to find is those that “can tell the story”. The session was very popular among attendees and with a crowded standing room only crowd.
David Mallon leads the research team at Bersin by Deloitte and is responsible for establishing overall strategy and direction for the group’s research efforts, ensuring timely and efficient production of new research, establishing member professional development offerings, and driving continuous innovation in methods and outputs. Prior to joining Bersin & Associates, he led the consulting services practice for a major LMS provider, where he assisted hundreds of clients with the integration and alignment of solutions to critical business objectives. Mallon is a frequent presenter at key industry events, such as those of ASTD, the e-Learning Guild, Online Educa, and the UK’s Learning and Skills Group.
