NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sprout, the first 24-hour preschool network, announced today the launch of an adventure-packed new original animated series, “Super Wings,” set to premiere on March 14. “Super Wings” takes viewers on jet-setting journeys around the globe -- using the power of entertainment to teach kids about new countries, backgrounds, experiences and customs.
“Super Wings” stars Jett, a fun-loving jet plane who travels the world delivering packages to children. During each delivery, Jett tackles new challenges with the Super Wings, a group of awesome airplanes who can transform into robots with incredible abilities. The Super Wings crew includes Jimbo, the airport and mission director, Dizzy, the rescue copter, Donnie, the gadget guru, and Jerome, the expert navigator. Viewers will follow along as Jett and his team work through each problem and teach the audience valuable creative problem-solving skills. Viewers will soar to new heights with Jett and the crew as they travel to 52 cities in 45 countries – from the mountains of the Himalayas to the canals of Venice – and interact with characters from all different backgrounds to underscore the importance of embracing cultural diversity.
“We are excited to welcome the ‘Super Wings’ fleet to the Sprout programming lineup,” said Andrew Beecham, senior vice president of programming, Sprout. “Jett and the Super Wings crew will take Sprout viewers around the world to explore new cultures and customs, delivering the real life lessons that are the essence of all Sprout programming.”
“Super Wings” takes flight on March 14 at 1:30pm ET on Sprout. New episodes will air daily with a new adventure featured each day.
“Super Wings” is an acquisition from CJ E&M, Asia's leading content and media company, and is co-produced by FunnyFlux, QianQi, Little Airplane Productions, and EBS. For more information on Sprout, please visit http://www.sproutonline.com/.
