SAN JOSE, Calif.--()--Soonr, a leading provider of secure file sharing and collaboration services for business, today announced the release of Soonr Go, the industry’s first ever mobile smart sync solution that also delivers integrated device security to fully empower mobile workforces with the secure file sharing and collaboration they need to work anywhere.

Today’s increasingly mobile workforce is turning first to their mobile device as their computing device of choice, especially when working away from the office. In fact, according to Forrester Research more than half (53%) of today’s information workers use three or more devices for work and IDC reports that 328 million employee-owned smartphones will be on the job by 2017. Working to empower mobile workers on their devices of choice, Soonr is putting mobility first by allowing users to take any and all project folders or files on their mobile devices, and work on those documents whether in- or out-of-network. Plus, with integrated mobile device management capabilities such as data loss prevention (DLP) and remote wipe, security conscious users and administrators can now rest assured.

“Many of today’s file sharing and collaboration services take on a desktop centric approach with mobility as a secondary priority,” said 451 Research Director Alan Pelz-Sharpe. “Hence it’s good to see firms like Soonr putting priority on mobile productivity and security, so that workers have the ability to be equally effective whether working on the go or at the office.”

The new Soonr Go mobile app delivers powerful sync and security features that truly give mobile workers the operational functions they need to be more productive when using their mobile devices. Key features included in the new Soonr Go app are:

  • Smart Mobile Sync – For seamless operation from any mobile device, Soonr Go delivers the ability to sync full or selective folders on each of a users’ devices so that they can be easily accessed both on and offline. Featuring complete device awareness functionality, Soonr Go also allows users to only sync selected files and folders on specific devices so that device bandwidth and storage is optimized, an especially useful feature for smartphones with limited storage capacity.
  • Built-in Editing Tools – Now users can make multiple document edits and markups even in offline mode, without the need to purchase or integrate additional software. In addition, Soonr Go includes the ability to scan-to-PDF and capture project photos and videos in the field.
  • Integrated Mobile Device Management – For comprehensive security on mobile devices which are prone to theft or loss, Soonr Go offers DLP and a smart device wipe functionality which allows administrators to remove only business content from any synced mobile devices. This smart mobile device management also supports automatic recovery for the easy restoration of lost data to a device and further supports device security through a hardware ID approval feature.
  • Intuitive Usability – Soonr Go supports even the most complex document sharing structures by giving users multi-account access through a single interface and a crisp document preview feature so that users can easily navigate to the documents they need from even the smallest devices.

“We have employees working in six different cities at any given time,” said Erick Saavedra, Business Development at Bmate. “Soonr allows us to stay in sync while mobile, and work collaboratively on documents with peers. It is an essential tool for our business!"

“Beyond just secure access to company file servers, our customers have been telling us that a major obstacle in using tablets and smartphones to do office work is just having to figure out and remember which documents should be synched to each type of mobile device while on the go. With intelligent device-aware synchronization, employees no longer need to remember which individual documents they need to sync,” said Ahmet Tuncay, CEO of Soonr. “At Soonr, we’re putting the mobile user first. With the release of Soonr Go, mobile workers can truly leverage the power of today’s mobiles devices without being concerned about the security risk of lost or compromised data.”

Soonr Go is available now for iOS via the Apple App Store. A Soonr account is required to use the Soonr Go app. To get a Free Trial account, visit https://vip.soonr.com/signup/public
