Patricia possesses an impressive 35-year-long track record as a management consultant and executive in acute care operations. She is recognized by peers and clients as a results-driven partner, with expertise spanning nursing practice and operations, case management, critical care, patient throughput, care delivery models for clinical integration, and Joint Commission preparation.

In leadership roles with nationally recognized consultancies, Patricia has conducted strategic, operational, and clinical assessments and implementation for academic medical centers and hospitals throughout the country. Prior to consultancy, Patricia served as Assistant Administrator and Director of Nursing at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Barrington, Illinois, and as Unit Director at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, where she managed a medical step-down unit.
Dr. Hines earned her master’s and doctorate degrees in nursing from Rush University in Chicago. She received her bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois, and her RN degree from Augustana Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago. She earned her LEAN Healthcare Certificate from University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Patricia is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the Association of California Nurse Leaders, and the Case Management Society of America. She is an accredited case manager, certified in LEAN methodology, and a published author and speaker.
