AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SST announced today the successful testing of temperature-hardened 18Mb SRAM based on HARDSIL technology operating at 250°C for more than 1,400 hours. This achievement represents more than 65 trillion bit reads without an error at this high temperature – making it a significant, industry-first milestone and setting new standards for performance and reliability for electronics used in rugged applications.
No other company in the industry has successfully demonstrated parts operating at this extreme temperature for this length of time. The success of SST HARDSIL technology not only provides new opportunities for rugged oil & gas, aerospace and automotive applications – but extends the operating life for other difficult environments that require high reliability and longevity like industrial automation, Smart Grid infrastructure, high-performance computing and more.
