BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Leading Inventory Optimization (IO) vendors are starting to leverage artificial intelligence as a means to optimize complex supply chains for large stock holdings and multiple stocking locations. The H1 2015 matrix shows that vendors applying machine intelligence to their solutions can more quickly identify emerging patterns and fix supply chain issues in near real-time, as they arise. Additionally leading vendors are adding predictive and tracking features to improve functionality.

Additionally, vendors are starting to offer cloud-based options that provide a more flexible solution with faster deployment times. Integrated analytics is another trend, enabling advanced demand signals such as point of sales data, as the replenishment input rather than sales orders.
