DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jacki Pick, host of “The Jacki Daily Show,” will be the guest speaker at the luncheon meeting of the Women’s Energy Network (WEN) – North Texas Chapter on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at the Fort Worth Petroleum Club, 777 Main Street #4000. Dr. Ken Morgan, Director of the Texas Christian University Energy Institute, will be the guest speaker at the luncheon meeting of WEN on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at the Dallas Petroleum Club, 2200 Ross Avenue. Registration for both events will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by the luncheon from noon-1:00 p.m.
Pick will present a discussion titled, “Winning the Energy Debate.’” A question-and-answer session will follow her presentation.
Pick is the host of “The Jacki Daily Show,” a radio program that focuses on the geopolitics of energy. Past noteworthy guests on the show include Presidential Candidate Rick Santorum, former National Security Advisor General Jim Jones; and Phelim McAleer, journalist, producer, and director of the pro-energy film “Fracknation.” Before launching “The Jacki Daily Show,” Pick served as General Counsel to a defense contractor specializing in energy. Previously, she served as legal counsel on Capitol Hill to the Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Constitution and the former Ranking Member of the Commercial and Administrative Law Subcommittee, advising the Chairman on the oversight of federal agencies. Prior to her career in Washington, Pick worked as a corporate litigator and as an Assistant Vice President for a major national bank.
Pick entered public life at a young age as a finalist in the Miss Teen of America pageant, and she served as a National Committeewoman and as a Public Relations Director for an Ohio based political organization. She studied Economics, Spanish, and World History at Marshall University (Society of Yeager Scholars), Oxford University in the United Kingdom, and the University of Zaragoza in Spain. Pick is an alumna of the Vanderbilt University Law School, where she served as the President of the law school’s Federalist Society chapter.

Dr. Morgan will present a talk titled, “Emerging Natural Gas Markets,” at the January Dallas luncheon. A question-and-answer session will follow his presentation.
Dr. Morgan obtained degrees in geology, environmental engineering and resource management before starting his career as a professor at Texas Christian University (TCU) in 1978. In 1981, he started and became Director of the TCU Center for Remote Sensing and Energy Research for energy resource mapping. Dr. Morgan has lectured extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia and the Middle East about resource mapping, energy technology and emerging natural gas markets and was recently quoted in the Wall Street Journal. In 2008, he founded and became Director of the TCU Energy Institute and established an Advisory Board of 24 energy companies. He is also the Director of TCU’s new School of Geology, Energy and The Environment. Dr. Morgan has published numerous articles on the potential use of domestic natural gas in the U.S. He currently chairs the Texas Metroplex NGV Consortium of over 100 companies and helped lead the successful legislation for the Texas NGV Transportation Triangle, Texas Senate Bill SB-20. He also enjoys driving a Honda GX-NGV to help promote the use of clean burning natural gas.
