NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kirby McInerney LLP announced today that a class action lawsuit is pending in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas on behalf of investors who acquired Conn’s, Inc. (“Conn's” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ:CONN) securities during the period from September 2, 2014 through December 9, 2014 (the “Class Period”). Pursuant to applicable law, investors who wish to be appointed as lead plaintiff for the proposed class have until February 10, 2015 to file an application with the court.
The lawsuit charges that on December 9, 2014, the Company announced an increase in the Company’s provision for bad debts. The Company also acknowledged that its forecasting of the Company’s credit operations have not been acceptably accurate. Further, the Company withdrew its earnings guidance for fiscal 2015 and announced the abrupt resignation of Brian E. Taylor, the Company’s CFO.
