The integrated OTA solution will be demonstrated at multiple venues during the week of the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Jan 5-9. Autonet Mobile will present a live OTA demonstration as well as connected vehicle services and applications in the Autonet Mobile booth at the Consumer Telematics Show (CTS) at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, 8:00am-6:00pm on Jan 5. The integrated OTA solution to be showcased consists of Autonet Mobile’s connected vehicle platform based on their secure and reliable Trusted Reliable User (TRU) technology, Arynga’s CarSync™ a platform based solution for OTA software, firmware, and data management, with both solutions residing on the Visteon’s Lightscape™ H1.1 mid-range Instrument Cluster (IC).
Autonet Mobile’s TRU Technology integrated into the in-vehicle gateway or Telematic Control Unit (TCU) allows the TCU to manage updates for ECUs. Autonet Mobile’s TRU Manager, the device and services management platform, is integrated with Arynga’s backend management applications including the CarSync Management System (CMS), CarSync BackOffice, and Arynga SyncPortal (the Graphical User Interface). This unified platform allows for the creation and distribution of software updates. The demonstration at CES events features Arynga CarSync In-Vehicle Gateway integrated with the Autonet Mobile TCU performing the download and installation of updates onto the Visteon IC.
Doug Moeller, CTO and Co-Founder of Autonet Mobile, stated, “This solution that we’re demonstrating allows OEMs to start performing OTA updates today. We’re showing that it is possible for legacy car technologies to reliably and securely employ this solution without having to wait for the next generation of car architectures.”
Walter Buga, CEO and Founder of Arynga, stated, “We are very excited to enable and support Autonet Mobile’s OTA services. Arynga will gain new experiences from this CarSync production deployment and operations. Ultimately, these experiences will benefit the entire automotive industry.”
