GALESBURG, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Power management company Eaton has been named an “Integration Partner of the Year” by global supply chain management firm Inspirage in recognition of the Vehicle Group’s innovation related to business process and system improvements.
A global cross-functional Vehicle Group team worked with Inspirage to implement a suite of Oracle Value Chain Planning (VCP) products to transform its existing Sales, Inventory, Operations and Planning (SIOP) standards into a more systematic and automated solution, resulting in process maturity and efficiencies across the Vehicle Group. The Vehicle Group’s Truck North America business was the first implementation, with ongoing deployment of the tools occurring regionally across the business.
“SIOP is a business process designed to develop comprehensive sales, production and inventory systems that seeks to balance demand and supply while consistently meeting customer expectations,” said Ron Rabe, vice president, manufacturing, Vehicle Group. “This solution will accelerate the Vehicle Group’s business performance in support of our continued growth.”
“Inspirage recognizes selected client projects that deliver exceptional value to their business as a standard that our consulting team members can aspire to,” said Kevin Creele, president, Inspirage. “The Eaton project team received this award as recognition of our highest client accomplishments.”
Specific areas where the VCP products were implemented include Demand Management, Advanced Forecasting Demand Management, Sales and Operation Planning, and Advanced Planning Command Center applications.
Eaton was one of 11 recipients of the Inspirage award, which was given at a customer appreciation dinner during Oracle OpenWorld 2014 in September.
