TACOMA, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Evergreen Lutheran High School expects to double the number of international students next fall with a partnership with Kitebridge, Inc., which provides housing, cultural enrichment services and college counseling for international students.
“Kitebridge not only will bring us more students from around the world, but also will work with us to expand college counseling, academic offerings such as Stanford Online High School and summer enrichment programs,” said Nathan Seiltz, Evergreen principal.
Evergreen currently has 17 international students who live with host families. The number of international students has been limited by the availability of host families. With Kitebridge, Evergreen can accommodate significantly more international students at a nearby apartment complex.
Kitebridge provides one counselor for every four students, as well as an onsite managing director to oversee the program. There also will be one American student for every three international students so they can improve their language skills with peers whose native language is English.
Formed in 2011, Kitebridge offers similar programs at two Lutheran preparatory schools in St. Louis and at Long Island Lutheran Middle and High School.
