BizX Helps Local Small Businesses Compete This Black Friday

BizX Expects Record Participation in Third Annual Holiday Season Kick Off; Perks by BizX Program Allows Companies to Use Service for Employee Holiday Bonuses

SEATTLE--()--BizX today announced its third annual Black Friday sale for local small businesses, an event that has grown each year demonstrating demand among small businesses to participate in the traditional kick off to the holiday shopping season.

The BizX Black Friday sale begins at 9:00 p.m. PST on Thanksgiving Day.

BizX expects record participation in the sale, with 30 confirmed businesses and a total of 60 expected, offering deals on toys, apparel, gift cards, massages, car details and more. More details on the sale and how to set up a BizX account on the BizX Marketplace is available on the company’s website.

Nationally, in 2013, more than 248 million shoppers visited stores and shopped online over Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, according to industry research. Unfortunately the owners of many small businesses simply do not have the resources to open on Thanksgiving evening or to promote an online sale to its customers.

With BizX, however, small businesses can still get in on the Black Friday action. Using the BizX Marketplace, businesses can participate in the holiday sales without any of the added costs of opening their location or promoting to customers. Furthermore, shoppers get black Friday deals all from the comfort of their own home.

BizX is a community of businesses and consumers in Seattle and the Bay Area that can buy and sell amongst each other using BizX dollars rather than US dollars.

BizX allows small and medium businesses access to its marketplace, currency and credit facilities to grow. BizX provides a way to grow sales to a new market and also a way to purchase needed supplies, travel, food and other goods and services without using cash. The Black Friday sale is another example of how BizX encourages its users to come together in its community to share with and help other businesses.

“The National Retail Federation found that more than 95 percent of retailers are small businesses operating a single location, meaning these businesses can’t possibly compete on the scale of big box retailers and ecommerce giants,” said Bob Bagga, BizX president and CEO. “But with holiday sales projected to be up this year, we want to help small businesses compete in a way that improves their sales yet doesn’t affect their cash flow.”

Perks by BizX: A Solution for Employee Bonuses

Small businesses can also leverage BizX this holiday season to provide employees with bonuses through the Perks by BizX, which allows businesses to award BizX dollars to its employees to spend however they’d like at the BizX Marketplace.
