SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Manage, the exclusive provider of Experience Ads on mobile exchanges, today announced the results of a recent campaign using its Experience Ad unit which proves its ability to significantly increase conversions and improve user engagement for gamers. The gaming app, which turned to Manage to drive game installs, received an average install rate (IR) of 6.3% for the Experience Ads, compared to 1.3% for display ads. It also achieved an average click-through rate (CTR) of 4.8% for the Experience Ads, compared to 2.2% for display ads.
Manage’s Experience Ad unit presents an interactive app or game directly within another app during natural breaks. This enables users to play a demo of the app, and at the end of the session, decide whether or not to install it. This method of advertising sees a higher install rate than display ads because the user is given the opportunity to try out the app in a low commitment format before installing.
This campaign was conducted from mid-October to mid-November 2014 for a popular gaming app. Over the period of the campaign, Manage served 42 million impressions of the game’s ads in the U.S., Canada and Australia – all target markets for the app. Display and Experience Ads both ran across Android and iOS phones and tablets, and Manage’s Experience Ads significantly outperformed display ads in both CTR and IR.
“The Experience Ads presented to the user are preselected based on relevance to that user, which is derived from Manage’s data management platform,” said Fred Hsu, CEO of Manage. “This sophistication, combined with the ability to try out the app before downloading, drives qualified customers to advertisers – paving the way for higher install rates.”
