DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Baceline Investments, LLC, a boutique private equity real estate investment and management company with retail holdings throughout the Central United States, announced today that former NHL Dallas Stars All-Star Marty Turco has been named the firm’s director of business development.
Turco became involved with Baceline a year ago as a business consultant, connecting the firm to new capital and real estate relationships. In addition to business development, Turco will open Baceline’s new Dallas office. The new location will allow the firm to have a strong presence in one of its most prominent regions. Baceline currently owns several real estate properties in Texas where a high concentration of investors are based.
“A key focus for Baceline has been to grow our presence in the Southwest − particularly Dallas and Houston − and Marty’s presence and approach will help us do that,” said David Puchi principal of Baceline Investments. "Because of his unique connection to the Dallas area, Marty brings a distinctive skill-set to our firm and will help expand client outreach."
During his nine-year tenure with the Dallas Stars, Turco built a solid reputation as a leader as he developed close relationships with his teammates, fans and the Dallas community.
Baceline’s Debt Free Income Fund concept was launched in 2003 and currently includes a diversified portfolio of primarily retail properties. Using its “no debt” acquisition strategy, Baceline executes a stabilization program designed to maximize investor value upon the sale of the property. In its High Yield Income strategy, Baceline uses conservative leverage to target higher current yields. Baceline’s Opportunities Fund is designed to invest in commercial properties or loans that have unrecognized potential because they have distressed or otherwise neglected ownership.
