SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Keaton Raphael Memorial (KRM) is hosting its 2nd Annual “Kaleidoscope” Gala on November 1st to benefit children and their families in Northern California facing cancer.
KRM will open the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria in downtown Sacramento, where guests will enjoy an evening featuring silent and live auctions, entertainment, heavy hors d’oeuvre and a hosted bar.
Keaton Raphael Memorial, a 501(c)3 nonprofit was established in 1998 in memory of 5-year old Keaton and his courageous nine-month battle with Neuroblastoma.
Since its founding, the charity has raised more than $1 million for pediatric cancer research in local hospitals and is a national leader in pediatric cancer awareness and research support. KRM is the largest single donor for the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center, while also helping more than 500 families in their battle against cancer every year.
Proceeds from the Kaleidoscope Gala help provide direct emotional, educational and financial support to these children and their families.
“When you see and hear the colorful stories of these brave children, you’ll understand the inspiration behind Kaleidoscope,” said KRM CEO said Teresa Hofhenke. “And yet we witness the growing need in black and white. A successful Gala helps with this crucial part of our mission.”
KRM focuses exclusively on serving children and families in Northern California. The local charity recently released a heartwarming and uplifting video of one such brave little boy, “Bryce,” whose father was inspired to write a children’s book about his son. That and other encouraging stories will be shared during the Gala.
