Appitized launch App to help freelancers and employers cut out the middle man

LONDON--()--An app has been launched which helps match employers and freelancers working across a wide range of sectors from construction to film so they’ll never have that Monday morning empty desk again.

The app, hired. means neither have to rely on a recruitment agency for jobs that need someone quickly, to work in a specific location for a particular project. Streamlining the recruitment process cuts down agency fees and gets staff to employers faster than the traditional route.

The app has been developed by the Cheshire-based company Appitized. It uses the location of employers and freelancers, the required skills and other metrics, to make the relevant match.

Jonathan Wilson, Executive Director at Appitized said: “We've been really excited about the hired. project for a long time. Every employer, no matter in which industry, can find themselves needing someone at short notice. This app will solve that problem – especially when so many freelancers are always on the go. To be able to find their next job quickly and easily with this app is a win/win situation for them and employers.”

hired. is experiencing impressive feedback from BETA testers and as the application continues to improve, much larger companies are showing interest in using hired. to place skilled people for short-term contracts.

The app has been shortlisted for The Most Innovative App 2014 in this year’s Appsters Awards.

Jonathan Wilson, Executive Director at Appitized said: “It is great to see our industry peers are recognising the project’s innovation and potential.”

Andy Kendle, Founder at hired. said: “We decided to work with the team at Appitized after discussing our concept of revolutionising recruitment and seeing their genuine enthusiasm, excitement and determination to help us realise our ambition.

“We have been heavily involved in every step of the development process and to be short-listed for this award is a validation of the hard work and endeavour from both parties.”

The Appsters winners will be announced during an awards ceremony taking place on 12th November at Building Six, The O2 and will be hosted by TV comedian John Robins.
