WAREHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Smithers Viscient has announced two executive appointments in North America. Dr. Darren Warren has joined the company as Vice President, North American Operations. Dr. Kalumbu Malekani has been appointed to the role of North American Technical Director.
Dr. Warren brings 25 years of laboratory leadership and drug development expertise to Smithers Viscient. Prior to joining Smithers, Dr. Warren served in senior management roles within several top contract research organizations and worked in project management and study director positions at Bayer Corporation.
Dr. Malekani has 17 years of experience in regulatory pesticide fate and transport research. In his role as North American Technical Director, he will support and foster technical expertise across Smithers Viscient. Dr. Malekani will retain responsibility for his current role as Director of Environmental Fate and Metabolism until a replacement has been named.
