SuccessFactors, Paychex, Salesforce and MongoDB veteran joins hyper-growth SaaS company

With twenty years of sales leadership experience, Podell joins Sailthru with a track record of consistent over-achievement in hyper-growth SaaS business application environments. Podell’s hire deepens the Sailthru executive team as the company meets the global demand for omnichannel personalization technology from ecommerce and media brands.

Prior to joining Sailthru, Podell served as Vice President for the Americas at MongoDB, the leading NoSQL database. While at MongoDB, Podell led a team of more than 50 direct and indirect sales representatives responsible for doubling the Americas revenue growth YOY. Before joining MongoDB, Podell worked for seven years at SuccessFactors where he was Area Vice President of the Western Region. As Area Vice President, Podell managed a customer base of more than 250 clients with an average revenue rate of $50M and grew the West region’s new bookings by over 100% YOY. As a very early employee of two of the most successful SaaS companies to date, Jon has contributed in IPOs and was part of the executive team that lead to SuccessFactors being acquired by SAP for close to $4 billion in 2011.
