18 Tourist Attractions in Zhenjiang Open to Public for Free During the Chinese National Day

ZHENJIANG, China--()--Zhenjiang Travel and Tourism Administration announces that eighteen tourist attractions will be opened to the public for free during the golden week of Chinese National Day, which is from October 1st to 7th. Zhenjiang, a wonderful city with town view, is known for its long history, profound culture and natural scenery. It is neighbor to Nanjing, the host city of 2nd Youth Olympic Games, with only 30-minute train journey. Zhenjiang will go into the most beautiful season this autumn. Colorful tree leaves dressed up Zhenjiang like a landscape garden. When people walk along the streets in Zhenjiang, the fragrance of osmanthus is enchanting enough to let visitors forget all unhappiness and enjoy their every moment in Zhenjiang.

Jin Shan, Jiao Shan and Bei-Gu Shan which are known as ‘Three Mountains”, are included into the list of the eighteen tourist attractions together with Zhenjiang museum and Xijin historical and cultural blocks. Jin Shan was widely praised by poets for its natural forest view and was known for the romantic love story “Tale of White Snake” behind. In the “Tale of White Snake”, the beautiful lady, who actually was a white snake, fell in love with a young man and got married with him. It was a betrayal to mortal world. To set the husband free from punishment, the lady sacrificed herself as a prisoner in Jin-Shan Temple forever. A big Shui-Jing Show (Waterscape Stage Show) based on the tale has caused a stir for its grand scenes and excellent performance. Watching the Shui-Jing Show became another great option for tourists when people visit Zhenjiang.
