Over 13,000 Birmingham Area Homeowners Have Chosen HomeServe Repair Plans in First 5 Months of New Program

HomeServe has already served 300 Birmingham Water Works customers, saving homeowners $210,000

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--()--HomeServe USA (HomeServe), a leading provider of home emergency repair service plans, announced that over 13,000 homeowners in the Birmingham area have chosen to sign up for a HomeServe repair plan since the launch of its new program in partnership with Birmingham Water Works (BWW). HomeServe’s partnership with BWW, announced in February 2014, offers optional Water Service Line and Sewer Service Line repair service plans to homeowners in Birmingham. In the five months since the program launched in April 2014, HomeServe has already performed more than 300 water or sewer line repairs saving Birmingham homeowners over $210,000 during this period.

According to the most recent US Census data, nearly half of the homes within Birmingham are over 55 years old. With the pipes supplying these homes likely just as old, and age one of the top contributors to leaks and breaks, smart Birmingham homeowners are signing up for the program.

Water and sewer line repair plans provides necessary protection from potentially expensive repairs or replacements to this critical home infrastructure. With the repair plans, HomeServe customers have access to a Repair Hotline that is staffed and available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to bring local, licensed and insured Birmingham area contractors right to customers’ homes for repairs.
