MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sunrise Senior Living today introduced a new online resource for its website visitors who seek insight on the variety of senior living options available. The Sunrise Care Questionnaire, a first of its kind for the senior living industry, provides seniors and their families with a care recommendation as well as the opportunity to schedule a community visit to learn how Sunrise may be able to meet their needs.

Sunrise recently conducted a website user test and found people were unclear about the type of care provided in senior living communities. For instance, visitors did not know the difference between Assisted Living and Memory Care. In response, the company worked closely with its Care team to develop the Sunrise Care Questionnaire to help families understand what services were available, which care may be most appropriate for their loved one, and start the decision-making process.
The Care Questionnaire asks users a series of questions related to various aging indicators and activities of daily living. For example, experiences with depression, memory loss, recent hospital stays, needing help to prepare meals and more. Once completed, the confidential Care Questionnaire provides a recommended level of care and encourages visitors to work with a Sunrise senior resource counselor to schedule a full assessment to discover if Sunrise can meet their care needs.
