LivingSocial and SeatGeek Sign Strategic Content Distribution Agreement

Partnership provides LivingSocial customers with access to more than 150,000 events, 12 million tickets at their fingertips

WASHINGTON & NEW YORK--()--LivingSocial, the local marketplace to buy and share the best things to do in your city and beyond, and SeatGeek, the largest search engine for live event tickets, today announced that the companies have signed an agreement to distribute SeatGeek’s ticket search technology on LivingSocial’s branded platforms, including its website, LivingSocial.com, and mobile applications.

The agreement will enable LivingSocial to offer an even broader array of entertainment options, including concerts, sporting events, theater and live performances to millions of its subscribers and visitors. At any given time, SeatGeek has access to more than 150,000 events and 12 million tickets.

“LivingSocial is always looking to enhance our live entertainment offerings to consumers,” said Alex Michael, Head of National Sales and Advertising, LivingSocial. “We know our customers are constantly looking for interesting things to do. Our partnership with SeatGeek enables us to offer more value and more content for both popular and harder-to-find events and venues.”

The agreement with LivingSocial marks the first time that SeatGeek’s interactive seating maps and proprietary Deal Score™ technology will be available on another e-commerce site. Since its launch in 2009, SeatGeek has grown to become a top destination to search for live event tickets.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with a lifestyle brand like LivingSocial, which is well known for curating unique things to do and see,” said Nihar Singhal, EVP of Business Development, SeatGeek. “Given the breadth and depth of our inventory, LivingSocial customers will easily discover activities that are a plane ride away, perfect for a road trip or for a spontaneous date night.”

Visitors to LivingSocial’s website and mobile applications will be able to view and access ticket deals on SeatGeek’s interactive seating maps, which will be branded “Powered by SeatGeek.” Users then will be seamlessly connected to a SeatGeek checkout page to complete the ticketing purchase.
