SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Redfin (www.redfin.com), the customer-first real estate brokerage, today introduces the Redfin Agent Development (RAD) program, a paid, 18-month apprenticeship that combines classroom learning, on-the-job training and one-on-one mentoring to teach participants real estate the Redfin way.
The RAD program immerses participants in the company’s customer-first, technology-powered philosophy of helping people buy and sell homes. As part of the comprehensive training and development program, participants earn their real estate license and are closely trained how to guide Redfin clients through the home-buying and selling processes. RAD agents work with their mentors and a dedicated team of trainers whose job it is to develop the next generation of the best, most customer-obsessed and technology-driven real estate agents yet. RAD participants are paid, benefits-earning Redfin employees. Once they begin closing their own transactions, they’ll also earn bonuses based on customer satisfaction.
“RAD has given me a wealth of real estate knowledge with the help of my mentor and team,” said RAD agent Rhett Butler, a member of the pilot version of the program. “I gained hands-on experience conducting home tours, attending inspections and settlements, and working with other agents until I was ready to take on my own clients. I love that Redfin values agents who are driven to succeed by providing customers with great service.”
Redfin is investing in building the next class of Redfin agents as the company rapidly expands to new cities and to help it serve a growing number of homebuyers and sellers in our current markets. As the housing market has heated up recently, the number of people looking to become real estate agents has grown.
The program is kicking off in summer 2015, so Redfin is looking for people wanting to start their career in real estate at that time in Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and the Washington, D.C. area.
