Colorado Cleantech Industries Association Announces Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge Presenting Companies

GOLDEN, Colo.--()--The Colorado Cleantech Industries Association (CCIA) today announced the innovative technology companies drawn from a nationwide pool of applicants that have been selected to present to the inaugural Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge in Denver, October 2, 2014.

Through partnerships with Noble Energy, Encana and ConocoPhillips, CCIA developed the Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge to assist the oil and natural gas industry in identifying new technologies to make energy development safer, more environmentally responsible and cleaner. After a national call for applications, the energy partners selected 12 companies that will be given the opportunity to pitch their technology to decision-makers from the oil and natural gas industries.

“ConocoPhillips is pleased to be a founding supporter of the Oil and Gas Cleantech Challenge," said Dave Heskin, Technology and Projects Manager at ConocoPhillips. "We look forward to working with clean technology leaders and the oil and gas industry in Colorado and nationally to reinforce ConocoPhillips' commitment to economic growth and a healthy environment.”

Companies responding to the Cleantech Challenge were asked to provide innovative technologies capable of working on issues related to air pollution, water sampling and recycling, remote/distributed power, power management and novel materials. The following companies were selected to present on October 2:

Alert Plus, LLC
BluBox Power Company
Dynamo Micropower
Gas Plume Imaging LLC
HY-BON Engineering
Linear Motion Technologies, LP
OptiEnz Sensors

“We have been so pleased with the positive response to this program,” said Chris Shapard, CCIA’s Executive Director. “We knew this could be a great opportunity to bring together the cleantech and oil and natural gas communities and given the interest we’ve received from across the country we’re looking forward to some great partnerships coming out of the program.”
