SANTIAGO, Chile & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fitch Ratings has published a new report on Chilean Companies Investing in Latin America. The publication explores the exposure of the Chilean portfolio rated by Fitch to the four major destinations of Chilean direct investment: Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Peru.
Chilean corporates have expanded aggressively into neighboring countries since the 1990s, attracted by their much larger markets. Out of 85 Chilean non-financial companies rated by Fitch, 35 show significant direct investments in one or more of these countries. The impact of these investments on the companies` credit profile is also covered by the report.
