ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Telerik® announced today the company is now among the first mobile development solution providers to join AirWatch AppShield. Enterprise applications developed on the Telerik Platform have confirmed interoperability when deployed via AirWatch® by VMware, the leading enterprise mobility management (EMM) provider. As part of AirWatch AppShield, Telerik applications wrapped via the AirWatch App Wrapping engine will give applications additional security and management capabilities without requiring supplementary development or coding.
Telerik launched more than a decade ago by developers for developers. Recently named a Visionary by Gartner in the 2014 Magic Quadrant for Mobile Application Development Platform1, the company is dedicated to making the lives of developers easier, faster, more productive and creative. The Telerik Platform is a fully-integrated, cross-platform mobile development suite that addresses the entire app development lifecycle. It was created to ease the mobile development process for the Telerik community of more than 1.4 million developers worldwide.
“We established AirWatch AppShield to provide a comprehensive mobile application management solution that integrates across the broadest ecosystem of trusted partners, while delivering a secure app experience across the enterprise,” said John Marshall, Senior Vice President and General Manager, AirWatch by VMWare. “With Telerik as one of the early participants in this program, we are offering our customers interoperability with a mobile development solution that is well known by the developer community.”
As an inaugural partner of the AirWatch AppShield program, Telerik has demonstrated compatibility with AirWatch App Wrapping feature sets and security features when Telerik developed apps are deployed through AirWatch. As a result of this testing, Telerik is now an AirWatch AppShield partner and is distinguished as such in the AirWatch Marketplace. Customers can be confident that Telerik apps wrapped from the AirWatch admin console are equipped with added security and management capabilities.
“The mobile revolution is fast moving, and businesses of all sizes are working hard to keep up with this rapidly evolving market amidst immense customer demand,” said Aaron Mahimainathan, Chief Product Officer, Telerik. “Working closely with our customers and partners, we enable innovations that make the app development process easier, faster and enterprise ready. Partnering with AirWatch and becoming part of the AppShield program is another major step forward and proof of that commitment.”
