NelsonHall Launches NEAT Vendor Evaluation and Assessment Tool for Software Testing Services

BOSTON & PARIS & LONDON--()--NelsonHall, the leading global BPO and IT outsourcing analyst firm, has today launched a new tool to assist buy-side IT services executives, software quality managers as well as procurement specialists in assessing vendor capability in software testing services.

The NelsonHall Vendor Evaluation and Assessment Tool (NEAT) for Software Testing Services is now available to NelsonHall clients, and is also available for a period free-of-charge to buy-side organizations through NelsonHall and through its partners SIG and SSON.

The tool supports a number of potential software testing services requirements, specifically addressing the needs of organizations with, for example, for cost efficiencies (through the set up of testing factories/centers of excellence), or for providing testing services for new transformation projects and programs.

Suppliers of software testing services covered by this NelsonHall Vendor Evaluation and Assessment Tool (NEAT) include Accenture, Amdocs, Atos, Capgemini Group (including Sogeti), Cigniti, Cognizant, EPAM Systems, HCL Technologies, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, L&T Infotech, Maveric Systems, Mindtree, NIIT, QualiTest Group, Syntel, SQS, TCS, Wirtusa and Wipro.

The NelsonHall Vendor Evaluation and Assessment tool for software testing services is part of NelsonHall’s “speed-to-source” initiative. The NEAT tool sits at the front-end of the vendor screening process and consists of a two-axis model: assessing vendors against their “ability to deliver immediate benefit” to buy-side organizations and their “ability to deliver innovation in support of client-specific requirements”.

The vendors are scored against a wide range of criteria, establishing a number of scenarios, each representing a different business situation or client business need.

To add further value in applying the NelsonHall analysis to their own business situations and requirements, buy-side organizations can input their own weightings and tailor the software testing services NEAT tool to their requirements against 62 individual vendor evaluation criteria. In other words, buy-side clients can configure NEAT in accordance to their requirements in terms of service offerings, IPs and other vendor proprietary tools, or delivery network strength. This enables sourcing managers to use NelsonHall’s software testing NEAT as an interactive tool via the web and to tailor the tool to meet their needs.
