NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FOLONARI, the iconic brand which brings “the passion of Italy in every bottle” and Frederick Wildman and Sons, Ltd., are on their 6th year mission to ‘TEAL’ the US this September during National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. The Turn The Towns Teal® organization and Wildman will continue working together by promoting Folonari as the wine that “gives back” to Ovarian Cancer Awareness. National promotions, tastings, local market events and a social media campaign will be follow the path of this crusade in bigger and better ways!
“‘TEALING’ and Folonari go hand in hand, once again,” says Francine Kowalsky, Marketing Director for Wildman’s National Brands division. “We continue to move forward in the campaign to create as much awareness as we possibly can,” continues Kowalsky. “The more we can do to target women of all ages through information and activities, the more the word will spread and more awareness will be attained for this very important cause.”
“We continue to be so grateful to Frederick Wildman and Folonari Wines,” stated Jane MacNeil, President of Turn The Towns Teal®, “their dedication to the program through national promotions--.50 cents of every bottle of Folonari sold goes to the campaign--local events and a catchy social media awareness video that has amassed thousands of viewers, not only benefits the organization but it is also educating the public in a most unique way,” continued MacNeil.
Ovarian cancer is often referred to as “the Silent Disease” as its symptoms are often vague and subtle. Since there is no early detection test for ovarian cancer, it is critical for women to become aware of its known symptoms in order to catch the cancer at an early stage (survival rate for ovarian cancer is 90-95% when detected early!) Hence, an awareness campaign for all age groups of this sort is critical.
Folonari Turn The Towns Teal!
The informational neckers on all bottles of FOLONARI wine will inform women AND men to know the often silent symptoms of this disease--it is NOT just a woman’s disease as husbands, sons, brothers, etc. are ALL affected. The ribbons on trees across towns will complement information cards on [wine store] shelves. Supermarkets, restaurants and retailers will join forces with our distributor partners across the nation and ‘teal’ everywhere! For every bottle of Folonari sold throughout the month of September, a donation of .50¢ will be made to Turn The Towns Teal®
