BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. continues to expand its renowned Intellectual Property section with the addition of William Meunier, who brings extensive experience in high-technology patent litigation. Formerly a partner at Goodwin Procter, he joins as a Member based in Boston.
Mr. Meunier focuses on all aspects of intellectual property litigation, with a particular emphasis on patent infringement matters and other disputes related to the enforcement of intellectual property rights. He manages and leads litigation teams in all phases of complex patent infringement lawsuits and in a wide range of technologies and fields, including internet services and systems, computer hardware and software, mobile systems and applications, medical devices and services, biotechnology, sports equipment, toys and novelties.

Mr. Meunier has represented plaintiffs and defendants at the trial and appellate levels in all types of IP litigation, from patent, trademark, trade dress, copyright, trade secret and false advertising to unfair competition and patent-related antitrust issues. Other expertise includes IP counseling, such as preparing patentability opinions, negotiating and drafting license agreements, evaluating patent portfolios, performing freedom to operate studies, preparing infringement and non-infringement opinions, conducting patent and trademark searches, and drafting and responding to cease-and-desist letters.
Mr. Meunier is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the District of Massachusetts, the Eastern District of Texas, the Northern District of Illinois, and the Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Federal Circuits. He has also appeared pro hac vice in numerous U.S. District Courts around the country, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He holds a Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School, where he graduated first in class, summa cum laude, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Tufts University.
