FUJIFILM Electronic Materials U.S.A., Inc. Names Brian O’Donnelly as New President & CEO

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I.--()--FUJIFILM Electronic Materials, U.S.A. Inc. (FEUS) has announced that Dr. Brian O’Donnelly has just been appointed President and CEO of the state-of-the-art manufacturing company. In this position, he is responsible for the U.S. semiconductor-based Electronic Materials businesses comprising advanced photolithography products, polyimides, formulated products, Thin Film Precursors, and CMP slurries through the FEUS subsidiary, Fujifilm Planar Solutions. FEUS has its manufacturing operations and product development in North Kingstown RI and Mesa, AZ as well as a broad U.S. distribution network.

Originally from Scotland, Dr. O’Donnelly was recruited from the U.K. in 1985 by Olin Corporation Metals Research Laboratories in New Haven, Connecticut, where he was Senior Research Scientist. In 1991, he joined Arch Chemicals in Stamford, Connecticut as Senior Business Evaluator for the Chemicals Division, and became Business Development Manager for its Electronic Materials Division. In 1995, he transferred to Arch’s Arizona facility where he worked in business development and product management for the electronic chemicals business. In 1989 he transferred to Arch in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, and held several progressive positions as Business Manager, then Business Director Formulated Products & TFS, Electronic Materials U.S.

In 2004, the electronic chemicals business of Arch was acquired by Fujifilm, and later became known as FUJIFILM Electronic Materials U.S. A., Inc. Dr. O’Donnelly has since held several key positions as part of Fujifilm. In 2009, he was appointed Global Business Director FP & TFS, then made Vice President in 2013, Senior Vice President in April 2014, and then appointed President and CEO earlier this month.

Dr. O’Donnelly obtained a Bachelor of Science degree and PhD in Metallurgy from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland, and earned an MBA from the University of New Haven, Connecticut.
