CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Maximum Fantasy Sports (“MFS”) has increased its extensive menu of fantasy football leagues and pools. MFS, founded in 2005, now offers fantasy football contests that run Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Post-season in addition to its already successful regular season and keeper leagues.
“Fantasy football appetites have grown dramatically in recent years, and many customers want more fantasy football options during the NFL season. Full-season fantasy leagues are never going away, but both die-hard sports fans and casual players are experimenting with alternate formats. Most participants in Daily and Weekly fantasy football contests also have teams in full-season re-draft leagues as well as Keeper leagues,” said Bill Parsons, President of Maximum Fantasy Sports.
Fantasy Football continues to grow
The allure of fantasy football is easy to understand. It adds new layers of intrigue to every NFL contest, keeping fans glued to their television sets regardless of the teams playing or the score of the game.
The actual participant level and revenue totals vary among industry reports, but consensus 2013 numbers put the number of people playing fantasy football between 35-40 million, with overall revenues approaching $70 billion. Revenue figures include everything from league fees to advertising dollars, helping fuel the NFL’s growth into the number one professional spectator sport in the United States.
How to Get Involved
Traditional fantasy football leagues consist of assembling a team of players from various NFL teams who accrue points based on their performance in their NFL games. Various types of fully configurable football pools offered for free at MFS, include:
- Survivor Pools (pick one team per week until one player remains)
- Confidence Pools (rank the winners of each NFL game)
- Pick ‘em Pools (pick games like a bettor)
- Squares Pools (pick the game results from a grid)
“Maximum Fantasy Sports is proud to be the only fantasy football company that offers the full suite of fantasy options to its customers: Public Daily and Weekly fantasy leagues, full-season leagues, as well as free Pools. Our goal is for NFL fans to have one location for all their fantasy football needs,” commented Parsons.
